Re: Jason Garrett to remain Cowboys coach

Time will tell but I am on the other side thinking he will not be around long. I have been a Cowboys fan for over 40 years and what I have seen over the last 14 years does not give me much hope for the future. A proud organization that has taken a back seat to the greed and arrogance of their owner.

As an Eagles fan, I like it. I have never been impressed with his production considering the talent he has had on offense. Now who he brings in as OC could make a difference.

7th best offense in the league since he became head coach, all with a backup and 3rd string QB at the helm.

I like it. He turned down other opportunities for this one. The guys like him and have upped their performance for him. I think it can work. Will it? Only time will tell.

OC question was asked and answered at the press conference - Garrett is the OC.

I like it all the way around. Took a team that was 1-7 and thoroughly embarrassed in two consecutive games - went 5-3 (with three losses by a total of 7 points).

    Thats what I'm talking about!

And don't forget doing this with the second and third string QB's.

Unproven commodity. He better have a pair when draft day comes because it's his *** on the line not JJ. As I mentioned earlier. JJ is he problem not the coaches.

I disagree. He is about as proven as you can get short of hiring an existing head coach with a winning record - and those are REAL hard to come by because they aren't normally out of work.

Yes, because Arizona, Washington, Detroit, Indianaopolis and even Philly are great defenses....wait no they aren't. And they got Philly after Philly lost Samuel, Hobbs, Bradley and Cole. Not to mention playing Philly's second team

He seems like a good temporary fix. I don't think Jerry wants to blow it up yet and hiring Garrett keeps things in tact. It's conceivable with a few tweaks (offensive line, secondary) they could make the playoffs next year.

Yes, proper use of those league-high five pro bowlers could result in the playoffs next year.

Jerry Jones= much younger Al Davis. I hope Jones is the owner for a long, long time
