    Big 12 RBs

Omaha radio didn't get into much depth about it today (most of the talks was about Bonds) - But worst to first...

    11. Baylor
    ISU
    10. CU
    9. KU
    8. KSU
    7. Tech
    6. MU
    5. Texas
    4. kNU
    3. OSU
    2. OU
    1. A&M

Like I said most of the talk was about Bonds and the top 4. Only comment about ISU was that both Baylor & ISU have no running game. He went on to say that ISU don't even have anyone to put back there.

The more I listen to announcers like this I really believe this has the makings of a special season. No one knows what to expect from the Clones.

If Chizik has an attitude of "take no prisoners" the first two games need to be over before halftime. Rest your starters and let the back-ups get experience.

With that the depth is more dependable and ISU will still be an unknown - because the starters hadn't played much. Than to beat eiu - low and behold - the swagger has arrived!!!

Undefeated at home to start the season...

    Re: Big 12 RBs

Who does KU have to put in the backfield? And I thought CU had a pretty decent running game?

That seems like a weird list to me.

Be over by halftime, I am just hoping they can win w/o UNI missing a field goal at the buzzer.

The way things are going with all the positions, they must think we are eight or ninth.

Apparently they've never heard of JJ Bass and don't realize that Jason Scales is still around.

I think they have; they're just unproven. Keep in mind, JJ, Harris, and Scales have the potential to make this one of the best rushing attacks in the Big 12 by the end of the year, but until we see how they perform in our new offense on the field, there's reason to doubt their production.

    Re: Big 12 RBs

I have no problem with them putting us where they did in relationship to our ability to run the ball...everyone who even opened their eyes for a second at an ISU football game last year knows we can't run the ball and its not just the o-line, but a combination of unprovens who are being handed the ball. I don't care what anyone on the planet writes/says negative about us before a season, I only care about what they say AFTER it, so that being said, I agree along with quite a good number of Cyclone fans who believe that we will shock some people bcuz I guarantee others see that we are being rated at the bottom or NEAR the bottom in almost everything in the big 12. Get ready for a storm this year people! Cyclone nation 4 ever!

    Re: Big 12 RBs

We have no proven backs, and we return only one starter from an awful O-Line last year. I have high hopes for our guys this year, too, but the fact is that our running game is entirely unproven.

Only one thing for the boys to do, I guess....

Agreed. Based on past performance and the unknown quality of the current players - this is pretty accurate.

Scales is the reason we are in last.

    Re: Big 12 RBs

Wow I have been away from Omaha radio for a while. I remember the days when Nebraska would have been listed first in every position no matter how detached from reality.

Some believe in Kicking @ss and taking names.
For now I will settle with Kicking @ss!!
