    Up Next: Nebraska Predictions

Really need SC to be back and healthy. Big game in terms of getting off to a good start in Big 12 play and picking up another win to get us closer to NIT play.

    Re: Up Next: Nebraska Predictions

I think we've got it. The last two games proved two things:
    1) We can win on the road.
    2) We can grind out a win when faced with adversity.

It'll be close, but I think we win.

My reasons have already been mentioned. We can win on the road, we can grind out a win, and Scotty should be back. I feel good about this game becoming win #14.

Since we are an elite team now, let's go get that One Cyclone Moment.

    Re: Up Next: Nebraska Predictions

    A couple things about Nebraska:

    kenpom has them at 37.

They are a top 10 defensive team so far (#7), holding opponents to the lowest 2pt FG% in the country (38%) and the second lowest effective FG% (40%).

They are a much better defensive team than offensive team. The only thing they do really well on offense is 2pt FG% (#3 in the country). They aren't a good offensive rebounding team, but they are very good at limiting the other teams offensive rebounds.

Also, they haven't played a road game yet. Assuming they beat Savannah St tomorrow night, they'll have won 10 games in a row, all at home, with the only decent teams in that streak being USC (#42) and Creighton (#85). They haven't given up more than 58 points in the last 9 games either.

I think we ave a chance with Scotty and can play D with them if not better. 68 - 54 ISU. They have a fat guy that I am excited to watch.

All of our games with NU are just downright ugly. I expect this one to be the same.

If DG has a good game, I think we win this one. His senior leadership is the key on the road.

DG needs to have a good game and we need to shoot a good percentage as a team. I think we still struggle to get the ball in the hoop. Nebbie is better than people are giving them credit for...

And by any statistical metric, it's the best team we've played so far this year too.

    Re: Up Next: Nebraska Predictions

if there was ONE game we needed Railey, it was nebraska, due to their collection of big, slow, unathletic tall guys. i'm also worried about DG's shooting slump - he has to shoot better if we're going to win a b12 game on the road. i bet we try the zone, until nebraska gets too many offensive rebounds. i hope we keep it close, but i'm guessing NU 66-ISU 56.
