What's up with no major mention of Godfrey? He had a big game when he was needed most.

I love Godfrey in the role he plays. Huge energy guy off the bench who will rebound the heck out of the ball.

I think the thing that annoyed me the most about Patton was how he would wait until the ref was just about to hand the ball to a player to inbound, and then send a sub to the scorer's table, checking him in. I swear this happened with every dead ball and delayed the game 3-5 seconds per each dead ball. It really got old.

I think this was generally his best game. Good timing to have it down a starter and with everyone else having a pretty lousy game.

I'm starting to think he'll be a very good player for ISU at some point. Love his improved free throw shooting. That alone makes him an upgrade over Dendy who was one of the worst ft shooters I remember ever seeing.

Godfrey is surprisingly quick on the wings, and may be an inch taller than Ejim.

jvb really needs to step up. I don't care about the blocks, the Morris brothers are licking their chops just waiting to body him.

First time I've seen Patton coach and I hate the man. Look at him for one, watch him in the timeouts, his player subs. It was great seeing him work Silas in as much as he could when Jake was on the bench. Jake was in their head, and worked his butt off.

I mentioned Calvin's rebounding in "Three Up."

    I agree. He played well.

Chris, is any debate about who is the real lynchpin of this year's team over, now that we've seen what happens with no Scotty in the line-up?

I only noticed on TV him doing this with Silas - I assumed to get him in when Jake had just gone out. Was he doing it with other players?

I also noticed him start to send one player to the scorer's table then pull him and send someone else. He didn't make it before the ball was inbounded. I thought maybe his intention was to sub at the next deadball. If not it was some of the stupidest indecision I've seen. Nothing except putting Silas in during the same deadball as Jake came out impressed me about his coaching. And that one was just common sense.

Anybody know how many Silas scored while Jake was guarding him? I think most of his points came off of others.

Honestly, I think that this team would struggle (like we saw last night) if you'd take any of the three guards out of the lineup. IMO, DG is the most valuable to the team. They all do certain things well so it is clearly up for debate. DG runs the show, gets to the basket, etc. Scotty is the shooter that stretches out the opposition. JA is the garbage man, teams top rebounder and is great around the basket. They're all very valuable.

I have to agree this team is one injury away from struggling horribly. Anyone of those guys out for extended time and we struggle.
