    Big Ten's big day!

0-4 this afternoon and Losing the Rose Bowl. Kinda suprised me how some of these teams lost. What are your guys' thoughts?

Not surprised. Lack of overall team speed in the B10 still haunts them.

Excessive intake of alcohol, we all know, kills brain cells, but naturally it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. That's why you always feel smarter after a few beers.

It's not like any of them besides Wisconsin and Michigan State had great seasons by any stretch for their programs.

Were any of them not conference tie-ins with the bowls? I follow basketball a lot more and am just a casual football fan so I really don't know...

Im just glad I have Homan as my bodyguard, Eustachy joked. If I ever make it real big and get to drive a limo everyday, hell be driving it. I thought he came off the bench like somebody was stealing his cow or something.

All I'm saying, is get there 1st....

You get to play on New Years Day for a reason, it's not Luck of the Draw. The Big Ten bias on this board is unbelievable at times.

News Flash the Big Ten is a good conference, every bit as good as the Big 12 and others

It doesn't mean as much when all the conference tie-ins land today. It has nothing to do with bias. Two teams with losing conference records played today for the Big Ten. 3-5, just like us.

The #2, #3, #4, #5 and #8 picks from the Big Ten played today.

Population of the big 10 footprint, and historical success both drive ratings and lead to them having more bowls on or after Jan1. No more, no less. Has nothing to do with them being good now or within the last 10 years.

That goes back to having good bowls tied to your conference. The teams playing in them sometimes aren't as good as the date they are playing on.

When 5 of your bowl tie-ins take place on New Year's Day regardless of performance on the field, I don't really see your point.
