    Second teir announcers

Did anyone else get tired of the Comcast announcers making excuses for the Virginia Cavaliers? I got tired of hearing, "they're in a rebuilding year." I wonder what they think ISU is in?

Even with that, UVA played some good defense. Against other teams, we would have been close to 100 in this kind of game.

    Re: Second teir announcers

I thought they were fair for the most part. But for most of the night, all I was focusing on was our thrashing of an ACC team on the road.

    Re: Second teir announcers

I actually thought they were giving us quite a bit of love, considering it was a UVa crew.

    Re: Second teir announcers

What was worse was hearing things like. Jake Anderson a transfer from Northern Iowa.....Or Fred Hoiberg 2nd year coach etc...

Overall they gave ISU some great props. Heck they even interviewed our guys after the game.

    Re: Second teir announcers

I liked the announcers tonight. Thought they did a good job of complimenting the I-State players and went out of their way to make sure everyone knew D.G. got his 500 assist.

I thought they were good. A few facts messed up, but really were complimentary and some of the other nice things already mentioned.

    Re: Second teir announcers

I thought they were great. Have you heard the Cyclone TV announcers? If these Comcast guys were second tier, the CTV guys would be about 9th tier.

    Re: Second teir announcers

I didn't mind listening to them... Anytime it is not your home announcers you are going to have some facts that get messed up, but I didn't think they had too many. Yes, they gave UVa several excuses but they also gave ISU plenty of props for the strong win on the road. UVa is a rebuilding team, and are very young and inexperienced which showed tonight at times...

Still a great win and I enjoyed watching, and listening to it.

    Re: Second teir announcers

i thought they were great - really informed compared to most regional broadcasters. color guy was ronny thompson, john thompson's son. he's a pretty experienced basketball guy.

I thought they were definitely some of the best homer announcers I've herd.
