    Sean Keeler Blog

I know a lot of people don't like Keeler because he favors the hawks (understandable why you don't like him) but this is a pretty good article. He really likes the way we are playing. He is also very honest about the Big 12 schedule. It is a good article though.

Funny, many Hawk fans think he favors the Cyclones.

You are not a true Cyclone fan unless you hate all the local media. Keeler, Perrault, etc. At least that is the way we act sometimes.

Good article. I think he broke it down pretty well. 6 league wins would (will?) be a great accomplishment, and I agree with the COY idea.

When accustom to a hawk pandering media, I am sure they think Keeler is too much of a muckraker.

Predicts 7 wins in Big 12, which would please many of us.

    Re: Sean Keeler Blog

Good and fair write up. The only thing I disagree with is that I don't think you can give a guy that doesn't have a winning conference record the COY award in the Big 12. If we were winless last year then maybe, but we had 4 conference wins last year. Getting to 6 this year isn't exactly an earth shattering feat. If we get to 8-8 then I'd put him in the running.

With what we had returning from last year (grand total of three scholarship players), 6 or 7 wins in the league would definitely be worthy of consideration for COY. I am tired of handing COY award to the coach of the team that wins the league (didn't research this, but it seems like that is always what happens).

Wouldn't worry too much about that. Many Hawk fans also think a gourmet restaurant is one where you don't have to unwrap your food.

Dean Wormer was wrong. Fat, drunk and stupid was a great way to go through college (all five years of it).

Agree. I think a .500 record in the conference is an important consideration. That said if we come a game or so short but have a couple of big wins (or an upset on the road) I think Fred should be in the running.

    Re: Sean Keeler Blog

    His assessment looks accurate.

He sounds almost a tiny bit more optimistic about Big 12 potential than a lot of us Cyclonefanatics. Well, maybe.

I disagree with one thing, in his Iowa report card: Big Ten won't get eight bids this season. With the Groovy-New-And-Improved Expanded Field*, I could see seven, but then you're probably dipping into Northwestern territory.
