People get way too hung up on bowl games. Take a look at the season as a whole, especially the non-conference.

Both teams - Mizzou and Baylor - were bullied at the line of scrimmage. Outside of OU, Nebraska, and maybe OSU, the Big Ten teams are more physical.
It was like men against boys in the Illinois-Baylor game.

The Big XII wasn't very strong this season. I still think they finish with a pretty good bowl record due to favorable matchups. Bowl records are always over-emphasized, but it is a fun way to decide conference strength, accurate or not.

I don't bring my own opinions, just attack others.

The Big Ten was very good this year and the Big 12 wasn't that good this year. The Big Ten has now also gotten matchups that are a little more fair to them as well which has given them a better opportunity. They used to have some pretty bad matchups outside of BCS games.

an unranked 7-5 team vs 12th ranked 10-2 Missouri is a better matchup? Pretty sure the Big Ten is favored in 0 bowl games this season, which is kind of hard to believe. Not sure why TCU is favored over Wisconsin. Rivals also had them going 0-8, which is just hilariously bad.

In terms of their place in the conference? Yes, it's better than it has been. A lot of times the 3rd best team was going up against the 2nd best or 4th against 3rd or something like that. Of course it gets somewhat screwy because of selections not always matching placing.

Ah didn't know Illinois was favored. I guess Ohio State is favored too, which I didn't think they were.

The remaining Big 10 teams are 10 point, 7 point, 10 point, 4 1/2 point, 3 point, dogs.

Yes, what I meant was the talking heads get hung up on bowl games. How did the teams perform against the rest of the non-con. Say the Pac 10 goes something like 4-1 in the bowls, does that mean they were the best conference overall?

Yeah, I think you have to take into consideration who they were playing. For instance, if Oklahoma wins, well, I'm not going to go around spouting off about that because UCONN isn't very good. If they lose, that says something. I didn't think Illinois would beat Baylor and I thought Mizzou would squek out the Iowa game but they didn't.

    Osu looking to beat Arizona.

Mizzou had Iowa beaten until that godawful pass by Gabbert. Iowa got a couple of breaks and won a close game. And Coker played a helluva game.
