    American Appliance

They are offering a deal right now that if you purchase $2000 in furniture, you get a free 50" Samsung plasma TV. Does anyone have any experience with this sort of promotion or with American Appliance in particular? At first glance it seems to be a good deal but I always figure the devil is in the details. Any help would be much appreciated. Thanks!

    Re: American Appliance

I have purchased a tv there and it has been fine. They run this promotion all the time, basically you make the wife happy and you get a tv. We did find that their furniture is a bit higher priced than homemakers, the tv is more than likely a $400-$500 tv without all the latest gadgets.

    Re: American Appliance

I bought several things in the past from there, had an issue with a tv not working, got it home from the store and it was not working, returned it for another one that didn't work, and then on the third try I got one that works and still have it to this day after 8 years working. Also bought a 55 inch rear projection that worked well for 6 years before getting rid of it last year.

So moral of the story is if it didn't work they made it right, no devil in the details on my purchases either.

On a side note, passed Dan McCarney in there once.

    Re: American Appliance

Went in there the other day and the fiance and I were considering a leather sofa they had. We told them that we already had a new tv and the saleswoman said we could get an iPad instead. Come to find out, they weren't giving away the iPad's anymore. Not that it was a deal breaker, but we are still looking for a new sofa.
