    Re: Oil Pipeline from Canada

This is a HORRIBLE idea. Running an underground oil pipeline right on top of the Ogallala Aquifer is a recipe for disaster. A lot of farmers in Nebraska are concerned about this, and they should be. It now looks like it's moving to a Federal decision for approval, which is not good either.

Heaven forbid, it might contaminate the water in Texas.

Curious. Where wiould you run it? Across Canada and then straight down? Is there a good place in Iowa?

Not to worry. The Canadians are getting tired of dealing with the US regulatory approvals and the control the environmentalists have on the process under the current regime and are trending towards moving that volume to the Pacific coast for shipment to China.

The Chinese are even offering to pay a good portion of the pipeline costs for them if they do it.

Good, then maybe we'll start using a lot more of our natural gas. We have huge supplies and it's cleaner.
