Re: Kicked out of locker room

Yah, because clearly the punter decided to ignore his demands and just kick it to him on purpose-- the same way quarterbacks mean to throw it to opposing defenders, and runningbacks mean to fumble, and WRs mean to drop passes...

Didn't realize the punter was on the defense that gave up the 3 TD's before the punt.

Coughlin is a DB and I don't mean defensive back.

Did he kick out the LS too for botching the snap?

Or the entire punt team for not being able to stay in there lanes and make a tackle with the game on the line. C'mon man!

Coach Coughlin by definition. (it's not working... just type in DB the entire word)

Re: Kicked out of locker room

Quite frankly, I would have cut him. A previous poster used the example of a qb meaning to throw it to opposing defenders that example would hold water if the coach told the qb to throw the ball out of bounds and instead he through it right down the middle of the field.

This is a professional punter. He missed his target by 30 yards. It would be one thing if he tried to kick it out of bounds but Jackson was able to catch it right at the sideline. But no, he kicked it right down the middle of the field.

The loss isn't his fault. But if you are a punter in the NFL, you should be able to angle your punts even with a bad snap

And how should the coach discipline himself for allowing his team to blow a 21 pt lead in 7 minutes?

A coach with any class at all does not run out onto the field and start reaming his punter out on national TV after the coach's team just pulled off one of the biggest choke jobs in NFL history. Talk about trying to deflect the blame!

It's like other jobs: the boss tells you to do something specifically and if you purposely don't do it - it's subordination at the best and stupidity at the worst.

I didn't think Dodge kicked it to him intentionally. From what I understand, he hit it poorly.
