Mike Leach is going to be the next head coach at Maryland,

Excessive intake of alcohol, we all know, kills brain cells, but naturally it attacks the slowest and weakest brain cells first. In this way regular consumption of beer eliminates the weaker brain cells, making the brain a faster and more efficient machine. That's why you always feel smarter after a few beers.

Mildly surprised this is happening before everything at Tech is cleared up, but not surprised he's their pick.

I only cheer for Iowa State and whoever's playing Nebraska and Iowa. I like Mike Leach too.

I like Mike Leach a lot better now that ISU doesn't have to play against him.

If true, Maryland will become ESPN's least favorite team.

This is very true also. Only thing that could be better is if he got a job in the big 10 and continued his dominance over Nebraska.

It's a good thing for Maryland. Leach is a good coach. I do think Big Ralph is a good coach too. Leach will have a chance to get them to BCS games. The ACC is a little easier to win than the Big 12.

I guess I wonder why Friedgen is being pushed out. ESPN said he was COY in the ACC this season. Is he that old or does he have off the field issues? I thought that Miami should have went after Leach. He'll do a good job at Maryland.

Re: Mike Leach is going to be the next head coach at Maryland,

Whew glad he's out of our hair, I think its kind of a surprise he went to Maryland (I just expected him to stay in the midwest or maybe Pac 10) but the guy can coach and the ACC is ripe for the picking. I really feared that before Colorado left the big 12 that he'd end up there and that would have been scary for anyone in the north.

Leach working for CPR on ISU's staff would be better...
