    Re: Izzo Suspended

I'm not certain what the NCAA does exactly. They review cheating allegations but manage to suspend people like Izzo before a meaningless non-con game and postpone judgment on Cam Newton until after they rake in all the cash he will bring them by playing in the BCS title game. They also manage to let cheating happen right under their noses (30 for 30 docs about Pony Exce$$ and Marcus Dupree, SI article about the agent admitting to giving money, etc.) but happen to prevent people like Lucca from playing.

What purpose do they serve exactly?

"....Coaches are no longer able to hire a person associated with a prospect to work a camp."

Isn't that really gonna put the clamps on Bill Self's recruiting channels ??

"We are first and foremost an educational institution that values integrity, honesty and treating others with fairness and respect".

Bill Self will likely go the Auburn route and argue that "person associated with a prospect" doesn't specifically state "parent" so Kansas is safe.

Also, Kansas gets great ratings in the NCAA MBB Tourney so that helps.

    Re: Izzo Suspended

    Money quote from the article:
Coaches now can’t employ anyone that is associated or could be potentially associated with a prospect or could be given a suspension.
So...not only can you not employ someone that is currently associated with a prospect, you can't employ someone who might be associated with a prospect in the future? Honestly, how are you going to figure that out? What if the prospect comes to camp and associates with a person running the camp? Is that a violation?
