I figured this would have taken place 1 hour after they released them.

Re: Big 10 Rethinking Division Names

There should be a cybookie on whether they chose east and west or something else. I am already calling it that the division names are east and west.

ďI told you, I donít care if youíre black or white. I donít care if youíre rich or poor. I donít care where you come from, whether itís Texas, Florida, California, or right here in the state of Iowa, I donít care about any of thatÖ But what I did care about is moving forward from that day on, that we were one team." -Paul Rhoads

So there is a chance for "pitchers" and "catchers?"

No way they will be geographically named. The Big Ten won't handicap themselves that way. When they add more teams (and they will) from the East they won't redo the divisions as they will just put teams into the ones already created. So if they get Rutgers and Syracuse who would be in the "West" and who goes to the "East"?

Seriously? You mean like how they were handicapped with the name Big TEN?

I'm still hoping that they do the logical thing and name them Tostitos and FedEx. I hate the B1GT2N as much as the next guy, but lets stop pretending that college football is about anything more than $$$$$$$. Name the divisions after sponsors and split the cash among the members.

This. When/If the Big 12 gets back to 2 divisions, I'm hoping for Microsoft and Wal-Mart divisions.

They should just do the right thing and go Schembechler (sp?) and Hayes. Be real B10.
