    On Any Given Night

I had to check on-line to confirm what I read in the paper: DePaul 91 Stanford 71. Yes, Stanford was playing without starting post Kayla Pedersen, but they're 61-1 against non-UConn teams in recent years and were expected to have enough depth to overcome that, at least against someone other than UConn. Kudos to DePaul who had previously been victims of the 800th win for Summit and Stringer - held off VanDerveer's try for # 800. She will try again at Tennessee Sunday. The game was played in front of 3,500 fans. DePaul has a good team, I think we won last time we played. Gives hope.

Uconn is next to fall. I'm sure G has practiced that speech already.

Ohio St. is not going to be an easy out for UConn either. Prahalis and Lavendar is the best inside/outside duo in the country in my opinion, other than Griner/Sims.

Yes, what a satisfying win for DePaul, and I always cheer whenever Stanford loses. I was astonished that DePaul shot 59.6% for the game! whoa. If they beat Tennessee I bet their ranking won't fall too far though, everybody knows they're a Final Four contender. DePaul on the other hand, this might be something that finally puts them over the hump. Happy for their coach.

Then, there is the next night . . . unranked, but deserving, Arizona St. 79, No. 16 DePaul 66.
