are there any metro areas where

you would refuse to take a job there no matter how much they offered you? I would never live in the Twin Cities. No way could I live with snow up to my ba--s 3-5 months of the year.

Miami and Detroit. As hot as the women are in Miami, it's just not worth dealing with that awful town.

Re: are there any metro areas where

I would go live/work in the Twin Cities in a heart beat. I'm a winter person, I love snow.

Detroit is the only place that I would not go to that I can think of off the top of my head.

Re: are there any metro areas where

Omaha, Nebraska. If my company, based in Des Moines for 70 years, for some stupid reason decided to relocate to Omaha (would never happen), I may continue to work there but I would live in Council Bluffs. Say what you will about "Counciltucky" but I will never live in Nebraska again (8 month internship in Columbus, NE).

I have a price...but the price is a lot higher for a place like Detroit...throw a few mil at me and I'll gladly live there.

Re: are there any metro areas where

There are a lot of places I wouldn't go unless there was significant money or no other job opportunities. It's not like they're bad places, just that there's no reason to go there. For example - Cleveland. Not that its a terrible place, but there's nothing really unique about it, and its far from all of my friends and family. I don't think I'd like to live in NYC, Miami, LA, etc, but at least those places offer something unique and good (to go along with the many negatives).
