Jets trip of Dolphin player just got more interesting

Jets coach Sal Alosi's devious act was not a coincidence - Shutdown Corner - NFL* - Yahoo! Sports

    Article quotes:

Sal Alosi, the New York Jets coach who tripped a Miami Dolphins player on the sidelines during last Sunday's game, didn't "just happen" to be there. The Jets have discovered that he strategically ordered players to "form a wall" in that specific place. Here's the play:
On every Miami punt, they were all lined up on the sideline. They would even switch ends of the bench area when the quarters changed. I checked my TiVo. It's amazing I'm the only one who has noticed this. The returner would always return to the same side as their bench, hoping that the gunner would get caught up and trip with the 6 coaches lined up shoulder to shoulder with their toes within the white sideline. It is an amazing coincidence that they were all lined up in such a manner. Every time! Then they would disperse after the punt and reconvene when Miami had to punt again. Rex Ryan is a cheater and I caught him.
As far as further punishment goes, the Jets have changed Alosi's suspension from "the rest of the season" to "indefinitely." My guess is that it'll morph again into something even more serious: termination.

So was the tripped player pushed out of bounds by the return team? The replay didn't show anything until the gunner was ~3' from the field boundary (and thus right in line with the coaches).

Pretty sure he went out on his own to get around a Jets player that was near the sideline as well. IIRC there was contact with the Jets player but not enough to push him into the sidelines, more a hand check/block.

I see nothing wrong with setting up the wall out of bounds. The players are supposed to stay in bounds. Nothing wrong there.

However, him tripping the player crossed the line. I'm guessing he'll be terminated but I don't think he probably deserves that. And I obviously have no clue but makes you wonder if this idea came from his bosses. It would be interesting to check his finances and see if he really had to pay the penalty or if he was helped out by another member of the staff.

I usually don't see the black helicopters overhead but after I put on my tinfoil hat I can hear them.

It appears that many other teams also use players and staff to guard the sideline. I heard a radio interview yesterday with Barrett Ruud with the Bucs. He said that they don't use the tactic, but that many players who come to the team from around the league are surprised when they discover that they don't. It sounded like that the majority of guys have been instructed to crowd the white line at other franchises.

    I agree with that.

I noticed that myself and was telling a co-worker this morning that their position was a little fishy. Looks like someone else confirmed it.

As a Jet fan, I am disgusted with the act portrayed by the SCC.

The rest of this is absolute garbage, and in no way exclusive to the Jets or Rex Ryan, as is mentioned in the "article". I didn't click on the link to read the whole thing, but what the OP put down sounds like something out of the mouth of a 5 year old, with a 2 year old sibling.

Two of the quotes that the OP posted don't actually appear in the linked article. Maybe the author thought better of his wording and changed them. Not sure what happened.

"What a horrible night to have a curse."
    -Simon Belmont

"Please bury me with all my stuff, because you know it's mine..."
    -Master Shake

"Passersby were amazed by the unusually large amounts of blood."
    -Lorem Ipsum

Yes, the article has changed. What I have in quotes was in the article when I posted.
