Considering it is time-filler, they should have put Fred on the bracket.

Re: Best player from the Big 4 schools

That poll sucks. It's got some layout issues.

Here's my question for everybody. If you named a Final Four w/ each of the four schools represented, what would it look like?

Why are Grayer, Tinsley and Thompson all on the same side of the bracket?

I'm as big a homer as anybody but Lester wins this.
He doesn't re-injure the knee they beat L-ville.

Re: Best player from the Big 4 schools

With respect for all the players in that bracket - He forgot to include the best player in his tournament ---- That would be Jeff Hornacek, & no one else comes very close IMHO. Again, I absolutely love all 4 Cyclones mentioned, I just think JH's resume is so much more impressive than any other player's.

Utah Utes, Illinois Illini. The University of Pennsylvania thought about following this pattern by calling themselves the Pennsylvania Pencils. However, they were afraid their students would start chanting "We're No. 2"

If a bs double-foul wasn't called, we beat MSU and likely win the championship...

Exactly and where is Zaid Abdul-Aziz (Don Smith)? He maybe an old school player but Thompson is on there and Zaid had the second best pro career. Barry Stevens and Cato are missing too.

Also where is Jeff Moe for Iowa!!! Seriously can't believe Roy Marble and BJ Armstrong are absent.

And Dolph Pulliam is not there for Drake??? This should be the Best Players that I can think of off the top of my head because I have to submit something to my editor Bracket.

Hornacek's resume during his time at Iowa State isn't better than the four players that were chosen.

I'm sure it won't turn out this way, but no player had a greater impact on winning for any of those teams then Jamal Tinsley.

Good point - but he was a HUGE part of what we now know as Hilton Magic! BUT, I'm also a big time JH fan - he was the one who REALLY got me excited about Cyclone Basketball (I was a high schooler during his collegiate days)! YEP, I'm biased!!

This. It should be Tinsley in a landslide.
