Marty - even when listeners come on to blast him, he lets then have their say.

And Marty is much more talented than Perrault.

This is a hard choice for me. Since I haven't heard Marty in about a year maybe I;m forgetting how much I dislike him.

Marty is an idiot, but he's good at his job. And I tend to like the guy with him most of the time.

Re: Who would you rather listen to

    Marty.

I listened to Marty and Miller all the time. Marty is more entertaining and that's a big deal to me when it comes to sports talk radio.

This is kind of like a "Who would you do" Bea Arthur or Betty White?

Marty far and away. He lets people talk and even if he disagrees with it, he can move on.

Re: Who would you rather listen to

The thing I don't like about Marty is how he conducts his business. I know for a fact from the business owners themselves that if you don't buy advertising from him for his show, he will bash the business on air until they buy air time.

Marty is a blow hard and says stuff they he knows isn't true, or that he doesn't personally think just to get callers and a rise out of people. Listen to his feed on mouthofthemidwest.com and you can hear his conversations between commercial breaks. Pretty telling stuff!

With Matt, he honestly loves doing what he is doing and is a total sports nut. If you follow him on twitter, he is into a lot of sports and is passionate. I guess that's why I like Matt more. Even though he can be a Clone hater, and says things you might not want to hear, a lot of times he has a point. I do think he was off base on his Hoiberg criticism.

    Just my opinion though

Re: Who would you rather listen to

Marty lets people talk?! Anytime anyone had anything to say he disagreed with, he'd just talk over them. That was the way it was on the old show....unless he's reformed now. I used to love his Bama Bob segment, thats about all I remember. Never listen to this other guy, so I don't know about him.

Ah yes Matty P vs Marty T. The battle of the two most awful laughs in radio. Can I make a third option which would be stabbing myself with an ice pick.

Re: Who would you rather listen to

Marty completely ignores Iowa State and has said on air our demographic doesn't matter. He truly believes Central Iowa is a Hawkeye market. At least Matt talks about us and realizes there are a lot of Cyclones in the area.
