High Clearance Front Wheel Drive Auto

Anybody have any suggestions? I drive through farm fields quite often and am looking for something with a lot of bang for the buck. Could go the AWD route of course, but FWD's are less expensive and do the job 90% of the time.

My Honda Ridgeline works well offroad.

It is FWD, with AWD assit or 4WD lock.

Been a jeep owner and driver since 1989. Skid plates covering everything important (underneath) can potentially save you some major expenses when traveling off road.

I've never found them to be that roomy on the inside. I'm carrying three kids when I'm not working and the more space between them, the better.

I have three kids and we all fit in the Ridgeline just fine. Very roomy with room under the seats and the nice trunk underneath the bed that has a drain plug so we can use it for a cooler on the great Saturdays up in Lot G7.

DOn't get a Hummer unless you are a Ahole with self perception issues because they seem to be attracted to one another.

I'll second his second. The ridgeline is great in snow and off road in the corn fields. Love it. Ajk4st8 knew I would agree.

I just got a GMC Acadia this fall. It has plenty of room it sits on a half ton pickup frame has just about as much ground clearance as my pick up. It comes in fwd and awd. if you look around you can find good deals. A chevy traverse is pretty much the same thing they mabe a little cheaper.

You can save even more by getting a Saturn Outlook. Same vehicle but Saturn is out of business so they are cheaper to buy. Nice vehicles though that is for sure.

Exactly... I can fit 2 coolers, table, chairs, tent, boards, and 4 people comfortably. The trunk is handy. Plus good for hunting.
