C Ben Lamaak, Iowa State Particulars: 6-4/320, Sr.; Cedar Rapids (Iowa) Kennedy Buzz: After playing tight end and left tackle earlier in his career, Lamaak moved to center as a fifth-year senior and adapted to his new position well enough to earn second-team All-Big 12 honors from the league's coaches and Rivals.com.
I wonder how this team would do if they were together and hypothetically played in bowl games. Is there a chance they could win a BCS bowl?
Too many variables to reasonably answer. Who would be the coaches? What system would they run? How good of job would they do installing the system? Would the players play well together and play like a team? Are they the right kind of players for a certain system? And do they have enough stamina to play the ENTIRE game without subs?
I find it a bit lame that they talked up a bunch of USC players. It's not like they were standouts on a 4 win team. They are not bowl eligible because their program is crooked. Don't give USC more credit than they deserve.
