Re: Melvin Ejim: Big 12 Rookie of the Week (12-13)

One thing to like Ejim is one of only two to get Rookie of the Week who are actually "pure" rookies (i.e., freshmen) ... along w/ Jones from Baylor.

Although the schedule has been less than daunting, Edge is putting up some nice numbers 13.3 ppg, 8.5 rpg, 61 percent from the field. And maybe it's just me, but sometimes I don't even realize he's putting up those kind of numbers.

So Anderson got the award too right? Ejim is going to have a great collee career if keeps this up.

His situation reminds me of Kyle Singler. Singler played the 4 for Duke, and had very solid numbers, but the thought was always wait til he moves to the 3, his natural position. He will tear it up. they moved him to the 3 last year, and his numbers went down(his team still won the title so few noticed). Ejim is a natural 3, and I think his skill are better suited there, but I would like for him to be able to play there some this year. Or else it will be like him having two freshman years at different positions.
