Re: Pittsburgh Post-Gazette says Rhoads happy at ISU

In terms of money, our $1.1 million goes a LOT farther here in Iowa compared to Pittsburgh. Also Rhoads is near his family. THIS is home.

Rhoads has the support of ISU fans and plenty of time and a lack of pressure on his job performance. Any pressure comes from Rhoads himself and his goals and expectations from the team. Rhoads also has a pretty good pool of money with which to hire good assistants. I have no idea what Pitt's is.

And Pitt will ALWAYS be well down the list in comparison to the Steelers, pro sports, and Penn State.

I really don't see Rhoads leaving. I think he genuinely likes it at ISU. Rhoads has a chance to do something really special here at ISU.

I sure hope he would be. Like the post above says he is close to his family and grew up here, you'd think he'd be happy.

Re: Pittsburgh Post-Gazette says Rhoads happy at ISU

I don't know CPR personally at all so I have no idea if he would leave ISU or not. But if his professional goal it to be the head coach of a team that reaches BCS level bowls on a consistent basis, which school better provides that opportunity?

I don't know if that is his priority...but the answer might not favor us!

all they did for me was make me want to move away and never go back (to live). a plan i am currently executing. character? for me they just made me hate the idea of ever living in a place like iowa for another winter. 24 years was enough.

f the cold and snow is completely useless if there aren't mountains (or at least big hills).

Amen. It takes some sack to stay in the Midwest. Keeps the ****** bags out. With the exception of Iowa City.

But seriously, while winter can be annoying, I love the change of seasons. Having the crappiness of winter makes spring, summer, and fall all the more enjoyable.
