    The no-call

on Jake's out-of-control drive into McCabe was huge. We got bailed out. He does it at least once in every game so far, where he drives erratically to the hoop. McCabe didn't buy himself any favors with the officiating crew and hence they weren't going to give him the charge.

It's nice to have something go your way once in awhile...

As much as a play like that frustrates me while watching the game, I love what Jake brings to the floor in energy.

Look at the last two fouls on JVB though too. Those were both very questionable fouls imo.

I wouldn't call that a slap. He didn't keep his hands vertical, he dropped his left hand down as he took the contact from Jake. But Jake was clearly out of control and got bailed out.

There were plenty of calls both ways to gripe about, but I thought we caught a break on this particular call. If it wasn't a foul on either player, which no foul was called, the ball didn't go out of bounds off of McCabe. It should have been a turnover on Jake if there was no foul.

I'm glad it went our way...not used to that happening recently.

Speaking of McCabe, I am not a lip reader, but at one point he got chewed out by a ref for saying @#%& off to him. And of course on the home court no T.

I didn't have a problem with the calls on JVB. It sucked that he was in foul trouble. But he has to learn to maintain verticality. The last two fould were just dumb on his part. His third fould was just stupid as well.

I really think that's why he didn't get the call there. The official told him after the F-bomb to not say another word. He was clearly not in their favor after that moment. Kid seems like a d-bag.

JVB needs to keep his hands straight up, his fouls should have been called. He is windmilling his arms forward when the ball comes in. If he had not done that he would have been fine.

To tell you the truth I think the refs missed/made bad calls both ways. I am glad it went both ways so neither side should really be able to gripe.

Agreed. JVB needs to stay on the floor, even if he's not making shots. I hope he learns from these past three games. He need to nip the early foul trouble in the bud.

    Gotta agree here.
    He is a thug.
Watch the entire game replay, and see how many times he is pushing off for rebound position.
He pushed Ejim too, when Ejim was called for the foul.
    He has no class what-so-ever.

Well, ............. maybe second or third.

I'm sorry but I have to disagree with you. Yes the 3 was just dumb and yes he has been struggling with fouls but those last two were not good calls.

He leaves his feet at times when he doesn't need to. If he'd hold his position and maintains verticality he wouldn't get hit with the cheap fouls so often.

The foul on Gatens wasn't a bad call, while it looked like JVB pulled off the block, the body contact and the fact that his left arm was clearly not vertical was why the call went Gaten's way.

It was said in another thread, he needs to learn when to give up the shot and live for another play. Keeping him on the floor, even when he's not hitting his shots, is crucial to the offensive spacing. Which means he's got to get smarter when it comes to his defense.

Yeah, McCabe had his doucher moments tonight. I think that over time, he will learn to keep his emotions to himself. Heck, had he not gotten in the refs face early, he may have gotten that call at the end. Either way, I'm not going to say I will hate him the next few years. He's an Iowa born kid, granted he goes to Iowa, but, nevertheless. I root for all people that come from Iowa, even Harrison still.
