    Cael Sanderson

In the "Rhoades to Pitt" thread we had some people talking about how it was so great for Sanderson to go to penn st.' He's a stupid ***** in my opinion. He left a place where he would have gone down as probably the best ever and now fans regard him with disgrace.

You seem to be taking Cael's move a tad-bit too personal.

It's totally personal. This guy could have been the greatest ever (any sport) for us but instead he left. When I say greatest ever I mean the way fans feel about him. Instead he goes to penn st. where he won't ever be anything like he could have here.

Greater than Hoiberg (as far as the way fans feel about him)?

O.K I have to agree with that, but a close second.

    Re: Cael Sanderson

He was and always will be Iowa States Greatest Wrestler. It is still up in the air if he will ever be as good of a coach as Gable. He has alot of years to go, before we can say that.

I have no problem with him leaving.

Will there ever be anybody considered "Gable material" as a coach ever again? The guy won 15 NCAA titles and 21 conference titles (consecutively, to boot). I'm thinking the bar has been set awfully high...

Nobody will. If they will, then people will point out that Gable doesn't measure up to the new guy's standard, but I don't see anyone reaching those heights again.

The guy's legacy was never going to be known for more than his outstanding wrestling career, and the AD was never going to give him the financial support nor the facilities he wanted. At Penn St, he has the chance to build his legacy beyond just the greatest collegiate wrestler ever, has been given the finances and facilities to do so, plus he's sitting in one of the most fertile wrestling recruiting areas. I cannot blame him whatsoever.

Besides, don't you get tired of holding a grudge against every single coach that has ever left ISU to move up the food chain? Do you hate Tim Floyd, Johnny Majors, Earle Bruce, Pete Carroll, and Jimmy Johnson with the same passion that you now hate Cael Sanderson?

Chuck Lidell: I paint my toenails with pink and black polish. Problem is, I get more paint on my toes and on the carpet than on my nails. Any advice?
Maria Sharapova: Don't you beat up other guys for a living? I don't know how to answer this.

Wow. I woke up, poured some coffee, and found out that if somebody makes a personal career move, it should be taken personally by people who don't agree with the move. Santa won't even bring you coal this year. You are getting soap.

Dan Gable was sooo good, the Iron Sheik named dropped him at a WWF taping many years ago.
