    Pelini to Miami?

If you're Pelini, why would you take that job?

Nebraska has better facilities, support, budget, and TV visibility. About the only positives I see are being able to recruit Florida more easily and an easier path to the national championship in the ACC vs the Big 10. Is he trying to parlay more money out of NU? Bail before he gets run out of town for another meltdown which won't fly in the Big 10? He could throw fits all he wants on the Miami sideline.

Maybe he took some internal heat from the AD's office after the A&M game and didn't like it.

If he leaves, it would be to get out from under Osborne's umbrella and away from the obsessive Nebraska fan base. He would rather focus on football 24/7 and not have much interaction with fans and the media. Miami is one place where the football could be at an elite level while the outside demands are manageable.

Great, then Unl could hire Cotton as head coach!

Blame for the skiers collapse has been placed at the feet of:
    Big 12
    Refs
    Oc Shawn Watson

I was listening to 1620 on the way home last night and a few callers were advocating firing Watson and replacing him with Barney. One can dream!

Good points. Miami is probably the collegiate program that most closely resembles a pro environment. If he left, they could hire Turner Gill and have a big warm fuzzy. That is until that didn't work out and they're left with the Osborne family tree dangling in the wind with nowhere else to turn to.

    Re: Pelini to Miami?

My guess is he's looking for a slice of that new Big 10 money from Lord Osborn and some for his assistants (including his brother).

“One day we’ll be in here celebrating a Big 12 championship,” Rhoads said. “That I can promise you.”

"I hope to coach here until I retire," Hoiberg said.

But the Miami Herald is reporting that Nebbie has granted permission to Pelini to talk to Miami, and the Miami AD has the crazy man on his list to talk to next. It looks to me that St. Tommy called Bo's bluff if what you are saying is true.

    Re: Pelini to Miami?

Because getting through the Big Ten over next few years undeafeated will be incredibly difficult. Much more difficult than the Big 12 and he wasn't doing it here. The ACC is not good and you probably have the easiest recruiting there is at Miami. I am somewhat surprised that RichRod hasn't been talked to at least as far as media concerned. That is odd to me. I would think that if he thought he may get fired, he would want to talk to them. There won't be a much better opportunity. That partially leads me to believe there is a good chance he will be back.

    I'm on Twitter too: Tre4ISU

    Or so I have read.

    Re: Pelini to Miami?

Pelini has dug his hole now. Nebraska fans think that is the greatest job in all of college football and won't stand for their coach poking around at other jobs, especially how this season has ended. Similar to Hawk fan after Alford started looking around. Bo's days at NU are numbered. How's he going to talk his way out of this on the alumni dog and pony shows?

Riiiight, Texas and Oklahoma > Ohio State and Wisconsin. The Big 10 was better this year but the Big 12 has been far greater for the better half of a decade. I'd say Nebraska's chances of going undefeated are the same or a little better starting next season.

But not compared to the ACC, which is really pretty much as bad as the Big East.

It's only a matter of time before some good coaches sets up shop in the ACC and Big East and just owns their respective conferences.

Why is no one else reporting this, most likely because he is not even a candidate.

Moral of the story, kNU isn't going to be undefeated.
