    refs

I was at the SWMS game last night and noticed that each of the refs had a little black box attached to their belts. It looked like they used it to start the clock after each inbounds play, but I am not sure. Anyone officiate NCAA games or know someone who does that can shed a little light for me?

NCAA officials wear a black box on their belt so they can control the starting of the clock on inbounds plays. It also senses when they blow their whistles to stop the clock immediately.

    Re: refs

Any truth to the rumor that the "black boxes", secretly record coaches as they argue calls? J/K but that's the new element of the "game" experience I want as a TV fan. I'm tired of listen to Dicky V and such, so please NCAA implement this technology to soon. Thanks.
