I just don't see Nebraska going into the BT and dominating like some people seem to think. The Nebraska/Iowa games should be very competitive and when they (Neb) plays Wisconsin, Penn St, Mich St, and Ohio St, even Michigan they could be beaten by any of those teams. I would guess the BT teams have heard some of the Nebraska will come right in and win talk, and might want to prove something.

    Re: Bye, Bye Nebraska

Not too bad of a finish for a football program that is "irrelevant" as so many CF posters would lead you to believe.

Over the past three years (since Pelini arrived in Lincoln):

Tied for second (one win behind Oklahoma) for best Big 12 Conference record.

Won or shared the big 12 North all three years.

Two concensus first team All American players.

    One Heisman Trophy finalist.

    One Outland Trophy winner.

Two consecutive bowl game wins (with a third bowl game yet to be announced).

29 overall wins (behind only Oklahoma at 31 and Texas at 30) with a bowl game yet to be played.

    etc., etc., etc.

So you can talk "9-7" all you want, you can talk "we beat Texas" all you want, but Iowa State could only dream of being in a game like Nebraska was in last night.

So from a Nebraska perspective, good riddance Big 12 Conference!

I've said it before...."Nebraska could get thumped everyother week in the big ten, the old big 8 schedule of Oklahoma and all the softies on the schedule are Gone Forever.....

Athletically this could be the dumbest decision in the history of fusker er husker football!!

    Re: Bye, Bye Nebraska

Nebraska Gets Murderous Big Ten Schedule in 2011-12 - Husker Football
Put it all together and Nebraska may well be playing the toughest schedule in America, two years in a row. The Washington game in 2011, and the Michigan games are the only scheduled games in the next two seasons against teams that didn't play in a bowl after the 2009 season.
To beat the best, you must play the best unless you are going for a football conference championship. Tweaking can always help.

Back to back road games at Happy Valley and then at Ann Arbor may make it tough for Red fans to attend both.

Those two fan bases will drive each other nuts. I am thinking about going to Iowa City in 2011, pulling out the lawnchair and 12 pack, and sitting back to watch the fireworks.

Iowa fans walk around with a superiority complex, they think they are better than they actually are... Knebraska fans walk around with a god complex, they think everyone else should bow before them... Mix those together with low IQs, and you get FIREWORKS!

Looks like you will have to go to Lincoln in 2011 on 26 Nov Saturday. ESPN GameDay no doubt.

See ya! With all your football stats you neglected to mention the ridiculously tough non conference games vs. Idaho, Western Kentucky, Washington, and South Dakota State. I mean, those teams right there, I thought they were going to make BCS runs this year.
When's the last time NU has beaten a decent non-conference team? Seriously. Step up and schedule some teams like USC and Virginia Tech again, and they'll bring you back down to earth before conference play even starts.
Every one in the world knows that NU is scared to do a home and home with Boise State, they want two home games, then one away game. What a joke.

Looks like their 2011 schedule could be a ball breaker playing Penn State and Michigan on the road and having couple tough non conference games. Then they have to beat Hawks after Thanksgiving.

I don't get it. This isn't a all that tough a schedule. Penn State and Michigan both suck... Iowa State and K-State are better than either of those teams. Iowa, Northwestern, and Michigan State are all likely to be middle of the pack Big 10 teams next year (read: very average). Wisconsin on the road and Ohio State at home are NU's toughest in conference games, but I wouldn't call them any tougher than playing OU, OSU, or Mizzou this year.

Fresno State might be the best team on that schedule, and NU's game with them has nothing to do with moving to the Big 10.
