People need to get over the cheating thing, and just realize he's a great player. Auburn's going to the NC game, and all this whining just looks like sour grapes.

Its just unfortunate that with the new CBA in the NFL he will have to take a pay cut to leave Auburn.

Cheating is cheating. I'm not sour that its Auburn - I would be just as upset if this was Florida, LSU, or Bama. Why is it that some are expected to follow rules and some are not? Sick of the SEC and their teams being held at a higher standard.

So how much will Cam's buyout be when he's drafted?

Exactly. If someone is one of your representatives, and theyre shopping you for cash, you should be ineligible. Thats just consistency there. Cam's dad did this, it doesnt matter if he knew or not.

if they are going to change the rules then fine. but if your parents can pimp u out but you say "i didnt know". that is a slipperly slop that is scary for the NCAA as we know it.

    Why should they?
Yes, he's a great player, nobody is denying that. But, not everybody cheers for more corruption in the NCAA than there already is.

Re: Auburn, best team money can buy

We will find out how great of a player he is next year when the other guys he is playing are making the same amount of money as him.
When UNLV won the national championship in basketball it was said there seniors and Juniors did not want to go pro because they would take a paycut. I have no doubt that Cam newton is not the only one on that roster who took money. How did they get Michael dyer and the rest of that top recruiting class after going 7-6 the year before.

He should not be eligible to play. This ruling is going to have parents of recruits and agents running scams under the pretense of the kid not knowing. There should be no tolerance for it. It's a shame.

It is total sour grapes............sure has shut up the boys who said GC could never win anywhere --- Obviously a great coach. Another former Cyclone head coach that will be COY after leaving. Wish JP could have kept him. Going to 6/7 win bowls will get old real fast.
