Cool story. Does anyone know what his draft stock looks like? I suppose its hard to tell before his pro day.

Re: Story on Ben Lamaak, NFL Draft

Do we know who on the team is going to make an attempt to go pro? I assume Lamaak, Franklin, A-Rob and maybe Sims. I know Arnaud had some hopes but I have to assume the knee injury put a big damper on them.

Am I missing anybody else who's gonna make a go at it?

I'll always remember that shot of him coming out of the tunnel on senior day...guy was not able to keep it together. I really like that. CPR just turned and when he saw the big guy he couldn't help but grin and give him a big hug. Ben seems like a good dude and wish him nothing but success.

I think you hit the list about right. I do not see any of our other players getting much of a shot. Of those 4, i think we get three drafted, with one first day pick.
Franklin should go first, with Sims and Lamaak as seond day selections. I think ARob will likely go undrafted. I see ARob as a phenomenal coach in the future.

I agree on A-Rob probably not getting drafted, but I feel pretty confident he'll make it into somebody's training camp and pre-season games. I'd give him at least even odds of making a roster. Totally agree that coaching is in his future at some point down the road.

RBs who can block and catch passes are valued by NFL coaches. Hopefully A-Rob will get a shot in somebody's camp. Maybe without the injuries he could have put up some big numbers and his draft status would be better.....

Re: Story on Ben Lamaak, NFL Draft

CBS has Sims as the 15th best SS and Lamaak, Franklin, and Robinson are in the mid 20's for their position. Hopefully they all jump up after pro day.

The fact that he's a complete back is why I think he's got a shot, and almost for sure somebody will at least give him a chance in a camp.

I just saw a 7 round mock draft that had Franklin being drafted in the 6th round.

I can't believe they have 25 TE's ahead of Franklin. At least they have his stock rising.

Re: Story on Ben Lamaak, NFL Draft

Franklin and Lamaak are the only 2 I see getting drafted. Both 5-7 round range. As much as we all love A-Rob, he is a long shot to be drafted. Sims is small and had a rough senior season up until the end. Those 2 will need huge pro days or NFL combine (if selected to attend) to have a shot.

Yes that is good to hear especially when you know he has had at least one other o-line coach and maybe two.
