    How many more years?

Until HD is standard for TV?

It seems like it has been out there forever and not having ISU games in HD is pretty rotten. 5 years ago I would have bet everything would have been in HD by now.

It's probably further away than we think.

    Re: How many more years?

I was flipping back to the VT Purdue game and it was horrible trying to watch that crap during the ISU game.

Look at the fiasco analog to digital TV was a couple years ago. Certain things in SD are unwatchable. Like college football on FCS, for example.

What are you talking about? I thought PSN had a fairly good feed.

    Re: How many more years?

I would say at least a few more years. You have to have the infrastructure in place, and it's just not there for all of the TV producers yet. You can't just flip a switch and have it happen. It takes a large financial investment.

just makes me jealous of the Big 10 network even more.

I assumed they wouldnt just flip a switch, but it has been like 10 years.

    Re: How many more years?

Considering how slow TV in general has been to adopt HD... and how much cable companies advertise HD as if it's some special privilege... I think it's a very long ways away.

It's all about the money, and until doing HD is the same price as doing SD, we won't get all HD.

I would settle for non black and white and non super bright to super dark.

Color TV was introduced in the 1950's and didn't become standard until the 70's. It takes time--a lot of time.
