7 wins apparently isn't good enough. The loss to South Florida totally did him in.

You have enough future NFL players playing HS ball within a 40 mile radius, and a history that is up there with the best in the business...... You can't accept mediocrity.

Did you guys see the attendance at that game? Unbelievably bad.

    Re: Randy Shannon Fired

Hey, maybe the weather kept people away....

Miami athletic director Kirby Hocutt, who made the decision on Shannon's fate, did not return calls and text messages seeking comment. Hocutt made the decision shortly after Miami lost to South Florida 23-20 in overtime on Saturday afternoon, in a game where only about 27,000 people filled the 73,000 seats at Sun Life Stadium.

My mind is a raging torrent, flooded with rivulets of thought, cascading into a waterfall of creative alternatives…..

Miami attendance is usually bad, but today was really bad.

The Greg McDermott of college football? Made the program clean/emphasis on academics again, but couldn't win enough...

Not even close to the level of futility of McDermott, he at least made the postseason.

Don't confuse hope for a plan.

    Re: Randy Shannon Fired

Miami had a couple chances to turn the corner with marquee wins and never could do it. Losing to this years South Florida team is pretty ridiculous.
