    Hoiberg post-game comment

I thought this was worth mentioning as it confirms what many fans have suspected regarding our scout team.

According to Fred in his post-game with John and Eric, the scout team dominated the starters for much of the week. Good to hear, especially when those starters are 6-0.

Consider me excited for 2011-12 and beyond.

    Heard the same thing.

In away, I feel bad for the starters, when every press conference and interview spends so much time talking about them.

I am very excited about next year with the blend of the current underclassmen and the scout team.

Coach and players have mentioned it every week. It is nice to hear that they get worked hard during practice.

I don't feel bad for our current players at all. They are playing some good ball right now. How many starting rotations have a set of at least equally talented players whose sole responsibility is to get them ready for the next team? I think the redshirts are being utilized in a great way - they have a role in the current team's success. While they can't play in games, they are still a big part of this team. I love it. It is going to be a blast watching the rest of this year and next.

I can't wait to see next year's team. If you take what's remaining from this year's team and throw in White, Babb et al, and our incoming FR, you have a very talented team. Not to mention, extremely deep. We should be able to win a few games next year, just based on our depth and being able to run our opponents down in the 2nd half.

    Re: Hoiberg post-game comment

Its fun watching them, but I can see how that scout team is probably beating them. My big concern after watching the team today and Wednesday night is our front line. I am guessing White & Booker are able to pound it in. I think this will be the area we will struggle with once we get into Big12 play. I like what JVB, ME and Godfry are doing, but we don't have any depth and will will need to have strong shooting to stay in games. Regradless, I love the future and am very excited about what Fred is doing!

    Re: Hoiberg post-game comment

If you really think about our team right now, we only have 5 guys that should be playing on the floor. Godfrey I would say is half way there to being a really 'first man off the bench guy.' The only thing holding Godfrey back, in my mind, is the lack of offense he brings. He has had one good game, but we need more consistency from him offensively game to game. When the bench is in at the end of the game, there is no flow and they looked lost, which is a concern once we hit the big 12 schedule.

    Re: Hoiberg post-game comment

I know he's mentioned it before, and a lot of people surrounded by the team have said that we probably have one of the best scout teams in the country. Honestly, I'm not surprised. We have 2 guys from the big 10 from last year that are solid, and White who will in all likelihood end up in the NBA. We practically have another D-1 teams as our scout team.

Oh, and I'm excited for this year, let alone next year...

He also said the scout team players were yelling the plays out to the players on the floor during defense, as they would recognize the plays Montana St was running.

I wonder how much they will be talking about them when we start loosing. In my opinion I'll let you know a year from now how good our current scout team is, that is if they are all still here and eligible. I'm not heading down the road of how good we'll be next year until it starts to happen. We've been burned to many times!

BY GOD, YOU ARE RIGHT. DON'T CUT THEM ANY SLACK. MAKE DAMNED GOOD AND WELL THEY SHOW THEY CAN CONTEND FOR A NATIONAL TITLE BEFORE YOU GIVE THEM YOUR FULL SUPPORT. I CAN'T WAIT UNTIL WE LOSE SO I CAN SAY JUST HOW RIGHT YOU AND OTHER FICKLE FANS ARE.

( I don't think you'd recognize talent if it bit you in the ***)

I've listened to every post-game interview- full media and with John and Eric. It's the first time he's said it in such black and white terms. His comments left no doubt that the scout team put it to the starters this week.
