Beyond Ali and Repella they don't look that scary. They have good size in the post but none of the three are big scorers or rebounders. WV is rated in the top ten nationally so we should take the numbers with a grain of salt and go out there and beat them to the ball, to the basket, and in the game.

I know BF and staff have developed a defensive strategy to shut down the two scorers. Here is hoping that our posts show up to play and can put the ball in the basket this game. Someone has to step up other than Bolte and Loz. I would like to see Harris hit some threes and Hallie get back on track. Go Cyclones...

    Re: West Virginia... next.

A good early test of personnel and the system. Both teams have some fatigue and distractions and little time to prepare. WVU may have an advantage in preparation as we are more like TCU and they are like nothing we've seen so far this year. Its early and with few results, computers do odd things, but, RealTimeRPI has us at RPI Rank: 14 SOS Rank: 56 and WVU RPI Rank: 28 SOS Rank: 92 which leads them to predict there is a 54.5% chance ISU will win by two.

collegerpi.com has us 3 and WV at 50. Not that these matter much this early. I believe collegerpi.com is the same system that ncaa uses.

    Re: West Virginia... next.

I agree, they aren't that scary. The winner of this game will depend on which team comes to play. If we play like we did yesterday (meaning the turnovers) we will have a harder time, but if we come to play like we did against Virginia, it will be a good game. :) Hopefully we can pick up a nice win.

    Re: West Virginia... next.

I knew Zimm would get the start but I didn't see Prins coming. I hope that Prins brings her A game today. I like that the two ballhandlers are in there again. But, I am sure that BF will use 9 or 10 players anyway.

Prins hit the first three for ISU. Prins to the bench with 2.

Pop is doing her usual battle and this time with blood.
