    South end zone alternative

    We would all love to see a slick, architectural, double decked south end zone but since we are a long way from filling those seats, why not do it on the cheap? Significantly expand the bleachers, add permanent restrooms and concessions, and regrade the NE and NW hillsides to bring those areas closer to the field. Move the student section and band to the south end zone. They will have the best view of the new scoreboard and it a make tough place for the opposition to score.

    Somehow bring the Jacobsen building closer to the field and expand the north bleachers somewhat. Sell those tickets cheap.

    Not the ideal solution but I bet it could be done for $5-7M tops.

    Nevada has a beefy end zone bleacher set up:

    Or we could just bowl in the bottom. Hopefully gain a larger fanbase with wins in the near future. And once the demand for more seats is there, add another level in the south.

    still think a good idea is "bowling' in the north endzone with the new football only facilities on each side of the jacobsen. no seats-just wings on each side to close that all off. combined with the new video, i think it would look sweet. move the north hillsiders to the south, or upper deck corners that aren't being used for a lot of games now.

    Seriously? Moving the student section and band doesn't accomplish much other than complicating the band. Yeah it would make it hard to score on that side but it's hard to score now on the north side. Also you can't just "bring the jacobson building closer" it does't work like that.
