    2012 recruiting class

with 14 players next year I understand the guy that doesn't return could
affect this class but based on the Seniors we will have (SC, DP and Allen)
all shooting guards. I'm guessing 2 of those 3 spots will be filling by athletic
2 guards. The third hopefully by a post.(our FR will be JRs)

I remember hearing about a high flying Center. Have we heard any names
on 2012 Posts other than the Souix City kid?

It appears Fred likes an athlete at the 2 that can push the action at both
ends of the floor.(Jake this year and Allen next) Do we have any names that
fit this description? I know Babb will be back but he seems like more of a 3
guard as SC is this year.

    Re: 2012 recruiting class

I'm pretty sure we aren't recruiting Woodbury anymore. Posts that we are recruiting include Phillip Nolan, 6-10 205, from Milwaukee playing at a prep in WV. Anthony Bennett, 6-8, 230, from Canada, and is playing at a prep power house, Findlay Prep. We are also after a guy like Ejim, and can play both the 3 and 4. Daniel Dingle 6-6 220, from New York. Nolan seems like a project kind of like McKnight. Bennett seems like a bruiser like Godfrey.

Guards. We are after Marcus Paige, of course, but Kansas and UNC are in on him, and I'm pretty sure we are looking elsewhere. Ray Lee is 6-3 170, from Michigan.
Nkereuwem Okoro is 6-4 215, from New York. He reminds me of Curtis Stinson. Actually looking through all this Okoro is now my favorite prospect. Ray Lee seems to really like it here, and I would think is the most likely to commit here.

Then of course there's everyones favorite recruit Negus Webster-Chan. He's a 6-6 scorer. Reminds me of Richard Roby from Colorado.

Revised. I also want Anthony Bennett. This guy is a freak.

    Re: 2012 recruiting class

I was thinking of this the other day. Some names to look at (most already named):

    - Negus Webster-Chan
    - Ray Lee
    - Anthony Bennett
    - J.P. Tokoto
    - Marcus Paige

I don't have close to the inside track as others, but these are the names I have heard to watch.

Physically he reminds me of Fizer, probably a little quicker and can push the ball up the floor. Probably doesn't MF's shooting touch, because very few that size do.

    Re: 2012 recruiting class

When you say shooting touch are you talking about baseline or mid post turn around jumpers or long range? Fizer couldn't really hit from long range or behind the 3pt line until his last year at ISU.

Much appreciated, I looked at Rivals first and could tell at least some of their
info was no longer the case.

Shooting touch as in he was very smooth with his shot. Fizer didn't shoot 3 pointers his first couple of years, and not that many his last year either.

Put the final dagger to Baylor in KC with a sweet trey.
