    Ben Lamaak

Hey there I searched for a thread on why Lamaak wasn't at center against Missouri but never found an answer. Does anyone know why?

I noticed that as well...thought maybe his knee isn't quite 100% yet? Would be easier to sub for a tackle than for the center, as subbing for the center may disrupt the center/QB flow. By practicing with Lamaak at tackle and someone else at center all week, JT would have the entire week to get used to the other guy's snapping.

The right tackle position (both guys) used Matador blocking techniques against Colorado (olé!), and I'm guessing Lamaak was needed to shore up that side against Mizzou.

It is worth noting that while Alverez didn't start at center all year, he does have a lot of experience at the position, so given that Tiller was under a lot of pressure the coaches might have decided it was better to leave the gametime decision to another position and let Tiller have consistency in the snaps.

Burris was banged up so he didn't start (but played), so Lamaak slid to RT where he had experience, Alvarez slid to C, where he had experience, and Smith played G, because he was the team's 6th best OL.

How are you able to still post. Did you leave the vuvuzela in Ames?
