Re: Baylor down another starting guard

Happens way too much in women.

Re: Baylor down another starting guard

What is seemingly self-centered is that Baylor is going for a medical redshirt. This is her THIRD ACL tear. I'd be advising her to retire and be able to walk as a middle aged woman.

I saw this on the ticker last night on ESPN, it's too bad. What was once a daunting line-up for Baylor is quickly unraveling.

You don't think they ran this by the player?

Sometimes your job as a coach is to provide advice concerning what is best for the player...not necessarily what the player prefers. It is still the player's decision and I hope the Baylor staff are giving her an honest assessment....not just saying, "sure you can play again."

To this day I suffer from injuries that I incurred during my wrestling career (no, not the WWF). If I had it to do over again would I make some different decisions? Something to think about.
