My thoughts on this game and next season

    1. Thank you seniors for a fun season.
    2. Thank you Missouri for keeping it classy and taking a knee. You earned my respect.
    3. We have a good defense this season, and will have a good defense next season.
    4. Tiller is a good QB. He can throw the ball and is pretty accurate and is a great runner.
5 . We need receivers who can make minor adjustments after the ball is thrown, people who don't slow down when the ball is thrown to them, and receivers who can catch the ball when it hits their hands.
    6. I'm already excited for next year. I predicting 8-9 wins.
    7. I'm sure I missed something, but this is enough for now.
    8. Thanks again seniors!

I think the Offense needs to go applogize to the defense for how much better they could have played.

I said I'd wait until tomorrow to think about next year again, but I've got a couple of thoughts on your comments:

    3. We lose a lot of talent off this defense. David Sims is so important in run support that it's not even funny. We lose depth on the dline as well.

    4. Tiller is a decent qb. He throws the ball inconsistently and hasn't proven to be a great runner. I know it will be different for him next year as he'll get a ton more snaps in the spring and fall as a #1 qb, but he doesn't make very quick decisions. Additionally, I'm not sure he's "quick" with the ball. He's fast once he gets going, but he sure has a ton of 3 yrd runs.

    5. We need talent in the wr corp. We lose our two most reliable, playmaking pass-catchers this year. We'll need to see dramatic improvement for sed, darius and darks to have any chance of seeing a comparable passing attack next year.

ps. RB still scares me. Arob is a freaking warrior. Is Shontrelle flashier? No doubt in my mind. Is Shontrelle a better back? Not right now.

Re: My thoughts on this game and next season

Tiller is a very similar player to Arnaud, IMO, and that's fine.

The problem is our WRs. They've sucked all year and people blamed Arnaud. We bring in Tiller and lo and behold they continue to suck. It ain't the QB folks...

A-rob has had serious problems breaking tackles this year, just not as impressive as he was 2 years ago. I'm really looking forward to Woody carrying the ball more. He has no flash, but just drives the ball forward.

    4. What makes him good? Throwing the ball to the tuba section out of the endzone? We scored zip points, in my book thats not good and he missed many of throws that were not inches off but yards and many at that.

    5. We could have Randy Moss at receiver and if you can't get him the ball he's worthless.

It took David Sims half the season to get into the flow of the season. This will be one of the better defenses in the Big 12 next season. Offense may be the limiting factor of this team next season.

I agree with this, the dude has an issue with just falling down off minimal contact.

Offense WILL be the limiting factor next season.

We got shut out TWICE this year. We also had a 52 point game. When this group was on, they were on. When they weren't... ick.

If Woody is considered our #1 running back then we have a long couple years coming

Re: My thoughts on this game and next season

Tiller threw the ball away a lot tonight to avoid the sac, or threw it sooner than he would like to avoid the sac. That's were most of the bad throws came from. Our WR need to get some glue on their hands. QB's can't throw 100% accurate every time, not even the greats do. They also need receivers that can make adjustments and catch the ball. AA was a better QB then everyone gives him credit for, but you need time to throw and people who can get open/catch

Re: My thoughts on this game and next season

Tiller is far from accurate. If he was accurate, he'da been starting all year. You can't repeatedly throw it at their ankles and expect diving catches every time. The ball Lenz dropped was bad though. He completely overran the ball.

Tiller's endzone throws were absolutely god awful. Not even close.
