    Computer Issue

    Hi

I was browsing around on my personal computer a few days ago and managed to get a virus. I have Norton on my CPU and somehow it was disabled when the virus hit.cheap dreamweaver I am unable to do most things with my computer and about 99% of programs including norton will not open. I would really not like to spend a ton of money taking my computer to a professional if I do not have to. Does anyone have any suggestions? They would be greatly appreciated.

See if you can restart in safe mode with networking and either download and install another anti-virus program (I like MS Security Essentials) or get your other one working again.

    Fixed it for you.

While on live TV, Ford used a vulgar term to describe a private part of the female anatomy, adding that he was “happily married” and “got more than enough to eat at home.”

I don't want to go to my company's IT department because I would really not like to get fired for looking at porn at work if I do not have to. Does anyone have any suggestions? Fixed again.

Seriously though, any additional details would be helpful. What happens when you try to open a program?

    Re: Computer Issue

    1. Go to clean computer, download malwarebytes onto flash drive
    2. Restart infected computer in safe mode (F8? at startup for boot options IIRC)
    3. Insert flash drive into infected computer, run malwarebytes, let it do its thing.

    Re: Computer Issue

My personal solution: Keep all important files on another hard drive. Create ghost image of programs you want. Whenever virus hits, reformat. Much easier than going through the hassle of trying to clean your computer after which nothing works quite as well.
