    VLOG: Tiller Time

The torch has been passed. The Jerome Tiller era of Iowa State football officially begins on Saturday when the 15th ranked Missouri Tigers will invade Jack Trice Stadium. Bowl eligibility is on the line for the Cyclones. Is Tiller up to the task? That’s the hot topic in this installment of “Cyclone Football Talk” from Mr. B’s Clothing located at 1995 NW 86th St. in Clive.

I think the Tiller has started, but i doubt it lasts long. I hope he proves me wrong though.

    Re: VLOG: Tiller Time

After watching the replay, I think Tiller had a very good game. He was better at evading the pass rush and he made some good throws and runs. We need to adjust our offense though. I don't think the read should be used as much because Tiller isn't built to be bulldozing through the middle of the line. He could do more rollouts. Maybe we need a 2 back set to help protect the QB - our OL sure can't be trusted any more. To put it mildly, our offense has sucked all year. Why not make some changes? Whatever Herman's system is, isn't working; we are almost dead last in the country offensively in many categories: yards, points, third down conversions, etc. What I noticed at Colorado was a reluctance to throw the ball or to run decisively, AA just stood there like a statue waiting to get sacked. I would rather see an interception than 10 sacks and a fumble-six.

Getting sacked means at least you retain possession and get another shot at a first down or TD. Throwing an interception gives up a scoring chance.

And I think the fumble-six happened when Arnaud was injured, right?
