How great would it have been to have Gilstrap

in this type of offense. I think he would have thrived. I just wish ISU could have got him that extra year.

Nobody but HB knows for sure. You pretty much know nothing....like Knownothing would like to say.

I don't think it would have been great. He was a selfish player that got a charge called on him every time he drove to the basket.

I loved watching Gilstrap but he could barely make it through games with our offense last year, unless he was substituted a lot more theres no way he would be able to play game after game.

And who would you have given up to keep him?

    Paul Rhoads' players never quit.
    (They just disappear offseason)

I'm happy with the team we have.

Best of luck to MG however. He was a gamer.

I loved his fire, but I'm content with who we have.

Since we are an elite team now, let's go get that One Cyclone Moment.

Re: How great would it have been to have Gilstrap

    Please cease and desist.

We cannot go back in time and wish for something that did not happen. We could still have Dendy. Or the Big Ham. Or we could still have Brackins. Or Harrison Barnes.

Reality check: we DO NOT have these guys and wishing for, hoping for, or speculating about how things might have been ... does no one any good. So mods please lock this thread and prevent anything like this from being opened again. Just kidding.

But joking aside, lets just be happy with who we DO have and go from there. Thx.

Agree. Talented player but selfish at times and in my opinion didn't play that hard all the time.

Eh, I'd rather let Ejim have a year like this develop and then be ready for when the big boys can play next year.

Re: How great would it have been to have Gilstrap

I would rather have Hamilton over MG. MG would have 10 TOs a game in this offense. I loved his fire but he should have never been aloud to dribble the ball up the court last year.

If we had Gilstrap, Dendy, and White... oh buddy...

Alas, things just never work out that way.

    This

If RW was eligible this year, Ejim would not be getting the opportunity he has gotten so far. I think that as the year goes on he will progress a lot. Especially after going against the scout team we have all year in practice. When/if RW steps on the floor yesterday the two of them together should be a solid foundation to build on.
