    Spring signees

I was looking at the roster and commitment list on the rivals website.
Of the 28 we signed 25 made it to the roster.
Can someone tell me who our spring signees were last year?
Seems to me Casper was one but I've learned not to trust my memory.

Caspers is on the roster. I think Jevoury Wedderburn went the JUCO route (as expected.) I don't see Nick Kron or Dentrell Pate on the roster, either.

    Re: Spring signees

Back on topic...so of all the 2010 class, the Clones have only had 3 guys disappear?

Thats pretty awesome so far. And consider only about 5 actually played this year, Rhoads is stocking the roster nicely.

Wedderbam, McCullough and Pate are the three guys that
    didn't make it in.

What I want to know is who/how many were here early?
We would be able to sign the same ammount of early signees
    this year.

    Re: Spring signees

Wedderburn and Pate were sign and place guys. No one expected them to be at ISU this fall. McCullough was the one academic casulty. Everyone else made it. As for the December grads that enrolled at ISU last January, that was Caspers, Howard and Anthony Young.

Does Nelson count as an early enrollment, even though it was in error?

    Thank you

Does a gray shirt in 2010 count against the 2011 class?

    Re: Spring signees

Nick Kron is a gray-shirt. Scheduled to join the football team this January.

Jevoury Wedderburn is at Iowa Central CC, in Fort Dodge. He has continued playing RB (there had been some speculation that he might make the switch to LB).

T.J. McCullough is at Ellsworth CC, in Iowa Falls. He is listed at corner, but apparently is growing as this roster has him at 6'3" and 195.

So some players that did not show up in August are likely still coming, albeit at a later date.

What I meant was I could see LTJ having a song called "what happened to nick kron?".

I remember seeing LTJ back at Hairy Marys perhaps summer of 99(?) and easily the hottest show I ever attended. It was like having the oven on 350 for half an hour, then sticking your face in there and absorbing the heat flowing out. Also saw em on the Ska against Racism tour. The Toasters really tore it up that day.

I missed the Hairy Mary's/Safari show, as I was at Warped in WI (they were on Warped that year, but were off that day/week...) I heard later that it was a short set, b/c it was so hot! The Ska Against Racism show at the arboretum was fantastic, top to bottom - MU330 (with Mike Park, doing Bruce Lee Band songs), Kemuri, Mustard Plug, Toasters, and LTJ! Cinco de Mustache, anyone? That was right around the time my band got going

Are you certain about that? Kron has already been listed on the roster, while planned to be a grayshirt, it looked like they might have given him Austin Alburtis's scholly back in August.

I'm not a big fan of grayshirting. You're effectively mortgaging one of next season's scholly slots. Sure, it works sometimes (Kurtis Taylor), but it still seems a gamble to me.

Thanks for your into--I thought T.J. was a major steal--and we could use him, corner or safety. So, where did Dentrell Pate end up? .

    Paul Rhoads' players never quit.
    (They just disappear offseason)
