I work for a recycling company and when the story first came out the buzz around the office was that we found a new market for our cardboard.

China is warning us to quit picking on them for food exports. Remember Japanese and Korean exports from the eighties. That was incompetence in that they failed to build a good product. This Chinese scare is more of a case of sneak the kitchen sink into your product.

Sounds awfully suspicious. Report on a negative story against your country, and go to jail.

Surely not! They wouldn't adulterate human food would they? I thought they only were putting poisonous substances in pet food. Just another example of many lately why we need COOL (country-of-origin-labeling laws) on food and especially meat products from foreign countries.

No, this was 'Fabricate a negative story against your country, and go to jail'. We actually have similar laws (though there's the whole 'trail' thing in there)- perjury, libel, and slander.

    True and Valiant

I also remember a game with Kansas when Cy (wore a huge suit then) went out to center field, squatted, and "pooped" a couple of chickens that had been dyed blue then chased them around.

The difference being we actually investigate it, and allow them to stand trial before a jury of their peers. Just a small difference!

Sorry, I think I missed the trial/ trail reference.
