picture of Knott landing on his head?

Has anyone stumbled across the a picture of Jake Knott landing on his head when jumping and getting blocked at his ankles? I saw it in person and it looked gruesome, I cannot believe he wasn't hurt seriously.

The flag on this play was ********. The refs didn't blow the whistle, how is a d-lineman supposed to know that the ball landing in Hawkins hands from the air had already hit the ground.

I didnt hear a whistle either. And the damn announcers wouldnt stop talking about 'how awesome cody hawkins is' long enough to explain anything happening during the game or even show replays.

That's what happened? Wow, we were all wondering why Maggitt hit him and I had no idea that Cody had the ball.

I was thinking the EXACT same thing when it happened, but since they never mentioned it I just thought I didn't hear it. I thought that was ridiculous. Also, were the refs somewhat late to blow the whistle on every play? It seemed like a lot of times forward progress was stopped and they just let it play out (when Arnaud got hurt). Maybe I'm just imagining things.

I was in the stands and heard several whistles, the players for the most part had stopped moving. The play was stupid, not the flag.

I agree. From my angle (which wasn't great from the ISU visitors section) it looked like AA was clearly stopped. I thought his forward progressed was stopped longer on that play then the one earlier they ruled he was stopped.

Knott should have been yanked immediately after that play. He stumbled over to get in his set the next play and was wobbly until the ball snapped.

john and eric said on the radio that the flag was pretty ridiculous. Not that it shouldn't have been called, just that it was one of those things... it was that type of day

Unfortunately, per the rule book, it was the right call. Our guy laid out Hawkins well after the play was dead. Definitely unfortunate, but it was the right call.
