    ISU Mt Rushmore

I'm bored and can't get to sleep and I was thinking...who would you put on ISU's athletic Mt. Rushmore?

    I think I'd probably have:

Orr-began the foundation for Floyd and Eustachy
Majors-did the same for football until Criener came in
Jack Trice-Best winning % of a football coach at ISU
Pete Taylor-How can he not be here

    Honorable Mention:
    Mac
    Pop Warner
    Floyd
    Pollard

Benedict Arnold = Creiner (hosed over ISU in so many ways it's insaine with those violations)

I left all the new coaches off bc I feel they need to prove themselves before getting etched into the rock. I also left all players out bc I personally believe that college athletics are all about the coaches.

I also remember a game with Kansas when Cy (wore a huge suit then) went out to center field, squatted, and "pooped" a couple of chickens that had been dyed blue then chased them around.

I don't know how you can leave all players off the list. I mean Wayne Morgan was one of the best players to ever come out of the Big 12.

Yeah, Larry Eustachy was an incredible player, too!

    Re: ISU Mt Rushmore

Did you mean Clyde Williams instead of Jack Trice? They both had stadiums named after them, so it would be an easy mistake.

Anyway, here are my Mt. Rushmores:

    Athletes:

    Jack Trice
    Troy Davis
    Gary Thompson
    Cael Sanderson

    Coaches:

    Johnny Orr
    Harold Nichols
    Gene Chizik*
    Greg McDermot*

    * Based on their future Big 12 and NCAA championships.

    Jay Horton!!

You have to go with Taylor, Orr, hopefully Chizik will earn his spot, and time will tell about Pollard

    My Mount Rushmore:

    Pollard
    Chizik
    McDermott
    Sanderson
    Fennely

Basically, it would look much like Nedrick's old "Right Men for the Job" signature. And yes, mine does have five faces instead of four, but who ruled it only had to have four faces?

    Re: ISU Mt Rushmore

For right now it should be Orr, McCarney, Taylor, Sanderson, Hoiberg.

Make it a big mountain so we can add Gmac, Chizik and Pollard a few years down the road.

    Re: ISU Mt Rushmore

    What about Dan Gable?

McCarney - No imo. while he did good things for the cyclone football program he is not monument material.
