Is ESPN Full Court worth $104?

The past few years I've been traveling a lot in the winter and didn't have time to watch all the Cyclone games. This year that has changed and I was considering getting Full Court. Is it worth the extra dough? How many ISU games will I get that I would not have otherwise? I live in E. Iowa.

Re: Is ESPN Full Court worth $104?

IF you can get espn3.com probably not. Most if not all of the games on Full Court are available online. At least they were last year.

Now that I saved you $100. Pocket 1/2 and donate the other $50 to the Cyclone Club!

Re: Is ESPN Full Court worth $104?

I think so. I love college basketball, don't get ESPN3, and live out of state. I usually end up watching some non-Cyclone games on there as well over the course of the season.

I'd say it is worth it if you really like college basketball and have $100 to spare.

Absolutely. I love it but I'm a HUGE college basketball fan in general.

It depends if you enjoy watching random basketball games along with the ISU games. I had it for a couple years and enjoyed having it. I watched enough hoops those years to make some good picks in my brackets in March and pay for part of it. With ISU being so down in hoops for the last few years, it's stolen a little of my enjoyment of college basketball in general so it didn't appeal to me. I'm thinking about getting it again this season.

Yes, I live over here behind enemy lines and for the handful of times I get to see the Cyclones on full court it is worth it to me. Also my wife went to K-State so with that we get our money's worth.

I usually get it. 100 bucks is pretty good value when you get the vast majority of Iowa State games plus tons of other games.

Re: Is ESPN Full Court worth $104?

I had it last year but was not happy with the quality of the broadcasts. Many are not in HD and can be very grainy. I have not yet decided on this year but at this time I am not ready to commit.

If you want to see the games, yes, it's worth it. Where I'm at, radio coverage is hit and mostly miss. Watching on a PC doesn't do it for me.

    Also,

ESPN3 is now on XBOX 360 (requires XBOX live gold). So, if you already have it hooked up to your tv you can watch the game that way. Plus, you can use the team speak capabilities of the xbox to talk with buddies halfway across the country during the game. This is especially cool to me, since I'm out east and all my rabid cyclone pals from school are out west.

ESPN3 comes exclusively to Xbox 360 -- Engadget

Re: Is ESPN Full Court worth $104?

I've paid for it for years, and it has always been worth it. With the exception of last year, it was the first time I ever regretted it (by mid January no less) and wish I wouldn't have.

Re: Is ESPN Full Court worth $104?

Depends a lot on where you are and what services you are using. I does make it so you don't have to worry about blackouts and other vagaries of the sports channel coverage.
If you are a real fanatic and want to see as many games as possible, probably worth it.

same here, i have Direct TV and basically bought it to watch the ISU games I couldn't make it to that were on Mediacom, also I like to follow UNI but they didnt have one game on FC last year. I am a huge CBB fan, but almost any game with halfway decent teams is on ESPN or on the Fox Sports Pack.
