    If You Were Cody Hawkins

What would you do this weekend and the rest of the season ?

    Remember:

If you play well and your team wins, then people think that your dad couldn't coach.

If you don't play well: you suck and your dad was wrong picking you as quarterback. Plus your dad might be accused of sabotaging a program that just fired him and that won't sit well when he is looking for job

Re: If You Were Cody Hawkins

you play the season out, remember these are his friends too...his Dad will always be his Dad, he only gets a couple more chances to play the game he likely loves and it would leave a huge burden on his friendships if he quit them

Re: If You Were Cody Hawkins

I see no possible way he quits. It would be absolutely pathetic to quit on his team with 3 games left. I don't care if his dad is the coach, you don't quit on your team. See Phillip Bates and Wesley Johnson

Wesley Johnson did not quit during the season.

Nobody but HB knows for sure. You pretty much know nothing....like Knownothing would like to say.

He finishes out the season, his teammates understand his situation and rally around him.

I know but he quit on his team in a relatively similar situation. He just up and left when no one was expecting it.

Re: If You Were Cody Hawkins

He'll play the last few games of his college career as hard as he can. I'm sure once he sets foot on the field, he'll be focusing on trying to play football, not the implications of him doing well or not.

You keep being the same below average QB you've been your entire career.

I think we're going to be playing an inspired team this Saturday. I hope we're ready.

If I'm Cody Hawkins, my new 4 intended receivers on every play are:

    Leonard Johnson
    David Sims
    Jake Knott
    A.J. Klein

But it's not pathetic for the team to quit on his dad with three games left? I wouldn't be surprised to see the kid quit. In his situation I would. I mean, what happens on senior day, they introduce Cody, his mom Sally and his dad Dan (to resounding boos)?

But I guarantee Hawkins told the kid he shouldn't quit.

Wesley Johnson is the wrong comparison. Same sport, but think more....german. That is what it would be like if hawkins quit now.
