I love that play. Can't stop watching him just walk through the line.

Probably legal. I guess I don't know if the snap has to travel through the center's legs.

But it's a cheap play. Middle school kids aren't going to know how to react to these sorts of gimmicks. This was a coach showing off.

    Boo!

Saw this from another guy at lunch. Best part is at the end when they try to bump shoulders and the QB gets flattened.

That is what we should have done while going for two!! Can you imagine the Husker fans reactions if we were able to pull this off? We only needed to go 3 yards.

ISU wouldn't have gotten father than a foot.

I agree with Naughtius who called out the coach on this one. Low class if you ask me.

...except we'd have done it from the shotgun.

You guys are a bunch of pansies. It was a good strategic call. My guess is you have problem with kids keeping score.

Any number of those kids could have stopped to QB from advancing, they did not. Shame on the defense coach for not coaching better.

I agree with this guy. That had nothing to do with strategy...that had everything to do with a youth coach taking advantage of the simple-mindedness of youth football. You want to run a hook and ladder, a double reverse pass, or double pass, that's fine because the defense understands that it's their job to stop that play. This play, and that "wrong ball" play that made the rounds on Youtube a while back, are garbage.

You want real youth coaching? Coach your kids to fire off the ball hard and see if you can string a 10-12 play drive together. That video isn't coaching...it's manipulating.

    Re: strange trick play

I'll bet if a linebacker would have came up and drilled that QB as he crossed the LOS he would have been penalized for unnecessary roughness.

I don't give a crap what play you run as long as it's legal. More power to this coach for thinking outside of the box.
