    The Offense...

I don't think enough is being said about just how well the offense played, even with some costly turnovers and points left on the field. I know its not the same Nebby defense as last year but its still highly respected and the Pelini's have built it specifically to stop spread offenses. Heck we put up 24 points in regulation and left probably another 6-9 out there. Hopefully this can be a confidence booster and we can keep the ball rolling. It wasn't the flashiest offense/playcalling in the world but it was very effective and our guys seemed to execute when it counted. Kudo's to Herman and Co for getting their guys prepared.

Wish I could agree, but can't. The defense played a very good game, even recognizing that their starting QB was out. Held NU to 17 offensive points in regulation.

Our offense played good. The 4th Q comeback was impressive, but three critical turnovers at home is not winning football. Eliminate 2 of those mistakes and I would give the offense an A+.

Yeah, we really could have done without the Woody fumble and the pick 6. Just bad plays on our part. Other than that, I thought that they did well.

    Re: The Offense...

I can't throw the baby out with the bathwater here. The offense did play a very good game minus 3 plays. Earlier in the season it was the offense played a bad game minus a handful of plays.

Offense did a good job moving the ball, even on non-scoring drives. Field position game was huge and all three phases did well and making sure we won that battle.

And that 13 play, 75ish yard drive when we had just gone down by 14 points? Overcoming a 15 yard penalty inside the red zone? Following 2 consecutive drives that ended in a turnover?

Yeah, it was pretty damn good. That's a point in the game in which we typically fold up shop. The offense didn't - huge kudos to them.

    Re: The Offense...

Offense has made a big turnaround. They move the ball now. That keeps the defense fresh and intense.

Every part of the team has been showing improvement throughout the year. That's what we were all hoping to see.

And the stop fade between AA & Williams is just money in the bank. Perfectly executed each time.

Williams has become quite physical and just puts his body in the exact position to keep himself between the defender and the ball. What a fantastic story...and awesome he plays a hero roll in both games against Nebraska...sadly this one we didn't fully finish.

    Re: The Offense...

Put me on the list of fans that are very happy with our recent offensive production. They have moved the ball very well against excellent Texas and Nebraska defenses. Turnovers happen, but against Nebby, the offense answered the bell and continued to produce and put us in a position to win the game.

Even against Kansas, when the offense had a huge hangover from the Texas win, they didn't let it keep them down for the whole game. They had a bad first half but went to work in the third quarter to put the game away.

This shows progress and I am all for it.

    Re: The Offense...

The offense had 14 first downs Saturday. Only one other game all season did we have more (NIU).

I think giving the offense anything other than an A-/B+ Saturday is foolish.
